Lake Alperstedt
Lake Alperstedt
Recreation in the north of Erfurt
Lake Alperstedt is the largest of the "Erfurt Lakes". The name of the lake has been commonplace for many years, although Lake Alperstedt lies almost entirely within the territory of the municipality of Nöda.
The facilities for water sports (sailing, boating, surfing, diving) and restaurants are located on the eastern shore. Here, the "Maritime Leisure Camp" with six floating cabins offers overnight accommodation and various activities for companies, school classes, sports clubs and individual travelers. The sports-oriented team activities include dragon boat tours, cutter rowing and cutter sailing tours, guided treasure hunts and raft building. Overnight stays in floating huts and the hire of rowing boats and canoes are also available here.
The rest area and playground on the south-western shore is often used as a sunbathing lawn, but also for events such as the Dragon Boat Cup. The Beizberg with its small rest area offers a good view of the lake and the neighboring villages.
