Fichtenweg and Sternbergstraße - The idea of building a forestry workers' settlement was implemented at the same time as the construction of a new forestry office building (1936). In 1936 and 1938, the state of Thuringia built four timber housing estates in each of the two named streets on state forest land. The project manager was government architect Vogeler. The entire ensemble is a listed building.
