Former material pit on the eastern slope of Hageleite

Rocks: Colored clay and marlstone complexes that are offset from each other on oblique faults.

Formation: Deposits in the hot and humid climate of the Keuper approx. 210 million years ago. Inclined position during the collapse of the Creuzburg Graben during the uplift of the Thuringian Forest.
