Pößneck Town Hall is one of the most beautiful late Gothic town halls in Thuringia. Construction of the town hall began in 1478 and the building was essentially completed in 1485. The south gable was added in 1491 and the north gable - a stepped gable with ornamental tracery - in 1498/99. The town hall was finally completed in 1531 with the construction of the flight of steps. From 1998 to 2014, the town hall housed the Pößneck Town Museum.
