Gerode Monastery is a former Benedictine monastery (first mentioned in 1124) and has been owned by WEG DER MITTE since 1994. The non-denominational "monastery of the new age" with its four pillars of "healthy living, education, care and healing" offers an open, spiritual and sustainable learning environment for a harmonious, health-promoting life.

WEG DER MITTE is a meeting point for Western and Eastern healing traditions, innovative, intercultural, socially oriented and socially committed.

The comprehensive offers for lifelong learning and personal development are open to all people who are looking for regeneration and inner contemplation, want to expand their understanding of health or wish to gain a professional qualification. The European College for Yoga and Therapy is also based at Gerode Monastery. Participants and guests come from the region, from all over Germany, from Europe and beyond.

The task of the interdisciplinary holistic competence and training centers founded by Dr. Daya Mullins - since 1977 in Berlin, since 1994 in the Gerode Monastery, since 2021 in Göttingen - is to provide people with sound training, preventive education, treatment and social support - helping them to help themselves. The WEG DER MITTE health system developed by Dr. Mullins is based on the concept of mindfulness and holism with a comprehensive range of measures.

Nestled in the gently rolling hills of the northern Eichsfeld region, the listed monastery ensemble is idyllically situated in the middle of a 10-hectare natural estate with a wide variety of flora and fauna. The monastery kitchen provides guests with delicious vegetarian food, much of it from the monastery's own organic farm, vegan and gluten-free on request.

Special sights: the former convent building, the monastery church, the 14th century monastery wall, the monastery park and a medicinal herb garden with over 200 different medicinal plants. The monastery offers a protected setting in which to relax, calm down and find access to your own inner resources through meditation, among other things.

The current project is the revitalization of the monastery church and monastery hall into an international education and meeting place for holistic health, culture and peace.
