The historic hairdressing salon in Altenburg, Thuringia, is a hairdressing salon that has been preserved as it was in the 1920s.

It is a testimony to the history of the town and its craftsmanship in the 1920s and was set up by master hairdresser Artur Grosse in 1926.

The salon is divided into a classic men's salon and a modern ladies' salon, which was set up in the rear part of the building in 1927.

It is a real rarity that a salon with its complete inventory such as dressing tables, wall panelling, all hairdressing equipment, mirrors, lamps and hot water boilers from the Junkers company has been preserved and has neither been modernized nor disbanded by its owner.
