Historicum Pewter Figurine Museum
Historicum Pewter Figurine Museum
The lavishly renovated half-timbered house from the 16th century is home to one of the largest private collections of pewter figures in Europe. On an area of 400 m², visitors embark on a journey through time with over 20,000 fully sculpted, hand-painted figures.
The lovingly recreated historical scenarios guide visitors through the most important events in world history. The main themes are: Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Reformation, absolutism, the Napoleonic era, the colonial period, the First and Second World Wars and the present day, as well as the history of America.
In addition to real history, a new part of the exhibition deals with "Fantastic Worlds". In contrast to the rest of the collection, everything here revolves around fiction. On display are figures and busts from the most famous films of recent years, such as Daenerys Targaryen with her dragons, various characters from the Star Wars universe or our favorite wizards from Harry Potter.
Group tours of the museum are possible by prior arrangement. On request, visitors can also make an appointment to cast pewter figures and take home a very special souvenir.
