Surrounded by fruit trees in the idyllic Altenburger Land countryside, the Heimatverein runs the Quellenhof in Garbisdorf (OT Göpfersdorf). Thanks to the support of dedicated people, the dilapidated four-sided farmhouse was saved and converted into a residential and event venue. Numerous events such as concerts, theater or craft markets take place here regularly.
The KULTURGUT Quellenhof is a listed four-sided farm that is being renovated and converted into an art and adventure farm:

The object
The Quellenhof Garbisdorf, a four-sided farm surrounded by orchards and a pond on a meadow plot of 18,000 square meters, is a landmark in the district of Göpfersdorf.
The situation
Garbisdorf is located at the far eastern end of Thuringia. The Altenburger Land district is rich in farms of architectural and cultural-historical value. The four-sided farms in the region in particular are unique in Germany in terms of their type and structure. The farm is located 20 km from Altenburg and is difficult to reach by public transport.
The place
The history of the Quellenhof dates back to 1717. Following a fire in 1803, the farm was rebuilt a year later. In 2001, the four-sided courtyard was acquired by the municipality of Göpfersdorf in a desolate state. Since 2005, the local heritage association has been working to revive the Vierseitenhof. In cooperation between the municipality and the local heritage association, a utilization concept has been developed to restore the building's distinctive character and to establish the Vierseitenhof as a cultural and event center in the Saxony/Thuringia region.
