Angermuseum Erfurt
Angermuseum Erfurt
Built in 1705-1711, the Electorate of Mainz's packing and weighing house is one of the most beautiful secular buildings of the Baroque period in central Germany.
In 1886, it was established as a municipal museum, from which the multi-span art museum of the state capital emerged: Medieval collection, painting gallery (17th century to present), arts and crafts and historical rooms (16th century to present), Heckel room (most important preserved mural painting of German Expressionism), graphics collection and special exhibitions.
