Veste Heldburg - the famous Franconian lighthouse has significantly increased its appeal in spring 2023. The Helene" Castle Restaurant has now opened its doors and invites you to dine with fine dining options. The menu presents above all Traditional Thuringian-Franconian disheswhich - and this is particularly important - are given exciting new interpretations during the week. By the way: The (barrier-free) restaurant on Heldburg's heights is named after Helene, Baroness of Heldburg and wife of the Meiningen theater duke Georg II. She regularly stayed at the Veste, as it was the secondary residence of the Dukes of Saxe-Meiningen.
