The old domicile "Haus zum Schwarzen Adler" in Kreuzgasse 2 is being renovated.

The Backstube is probably the smallest bakery in Erfurt. Nothing is stored or prepared here, everything is freshly prepared and baked in front of the customers. The trademark and, in the truest sense of the word, figurehead is a white flag that is hung out in the morning at the start of sales. When the flag is taken down, all the goods are sold.
