Between the Suhl Lauter and the Ringberg Hotel Suhl opened in 1992 and extensively renovated over the last decade, the Mountain and hiking hut at Steinhorst of the Suhl branch of the Rennsteigverein e.V. a cozy domicile. But passing hikers and skiers, for example from the Herbert Roth hiking trail around Suhl can look forward to comfortable outdoor seating and beautiful views of the ridges of the Thuringian Forest. Always Sunday between 14:00-18:00 are also small snacks (sandwiches, sausages, homemade cakes, occasionally bratwurst, brawn, fish) and "stimulating" drinks served for refreshment.
