The Regenberghütte is located south of Zella-Mehlis in the Heidetal valley, at an altitude of around 650 meters and directly on the hiking trail between Suhl Domberg and Benshäuser Geisenhimmel. It was built as an excursion destination back in 1924, making it one of the oldest mountain huts in the region. Annual highlights include Easter and Pentecost celebrations, the solstice celebration and cozy Advent evenings with entertaining hut music.
