The inn "Zum Plothenteich" has been owned by the Semmler family since 1884, who have adapted the house to today's requirements and made a name for themselves in the "Plothener Teichgebiet" nature reserve with traditional and environmentally conscious gastronomy. They offer Thuringian regional cuisine with products mainly from the region. With new ideas and delicious compositions, these specialties are interpreted in a new and modern way by the next generation of chefs. We particularly recommend our Plothener carp in the months with "R" and our home-baked cakes.
