On the southern slope and close to the forest in the Scheibe-Alsbach district, this vacation resort is an ideal domicile for children, youth and club groups. Rennsteig hikers, pilgrims and cyclists are also welcome. The hall with kitchen facilities and an indoor gold washing area can be hired for special celebrations. This indoor gold washing area conveys the feeling of being in the middle of nature. Background noises such as birdsong, "spooky" lighting and a small waterfall set the scene for gold prospecting fever.

There are two nearby Dams. A drinking water reservoir with a circular hiking trail and "The Goldisthal pumped storage plant" with upper and lower reservoirs.

Immediately behind the resort begin the Cycling and hiking trailsalso to the Rennsteig (including the Rennsteig cycle path). Good mobility is guaranteed with the bike rental.

A covered Gold panning area is located in the outdoor area. Directly at the GMZ you have a rolled Ski and toboggan slope. After tobogganing, you can sit down in the conservatory by the campfire to warm up.
