Rhön Farm Shop Fladungen
Rhön Farm Shop Fladungen
The Rhön farm store in Fladungen has existed for over 25 years and was founded by Martina Seufert. It is centrally located in the parking lot of the Fladungen Open-Air Museum. The "Rhön-Zügle" train station is also directly opposite the Rhön farm store.
The special and careful selection of quality products is the top priority in the farm store. All products come from local and regional farmers, producers and direct marketers.
Business relationship on a first-name basis
Take Mr. Michael Horsch from the Weihmarschmieden estate, for example. His cold-pressed edible oils are grown from precious regional linseed, rapeseed and sunflower. The valuable oil is carefully extracted and filtered. Or the partners of the Weihersmühle, the Hückl family, in Fladungen. In the farm store you will find from the Weihersmühle fresh flour, muesli and traditional farmhouse breadwhich belongs to the Fladungen Genussort. The grain is grown on the farm's own fields and then processed. Martina Seufert herself also surprises her customers time and again with her own creations, such as fresh bread rolls or other baked goods.
Selected products
The selected Product range in the farm store also ranges from fresh cheese and sausage specialties to Rhön honey, egg liqueur, cream cheese, smoked trout and other treasures such as sheep's soap, sheep's wool socks or different variations of egg noodles. Postcards and handmade pottery will also make it difficult for you to decide what to buy. Those with a sweet tooth can choose between fair trade chocolate, cookies, seasonal baked goods and regional Rhön farm ice cream. The cozy atmosphere, due to the small store area and the stone walls, gives the farm store its unique charm.
The snack bar
Martina Seufert and her team not only offer great products in the Rhön farm store in Fladungen. She also runs a small shop directly in the open-air museum. "Brotzeitstübchen". There you can enjoy the delicacies from the farm store. Enjoy Rhön buscetta, bread soup, Rhön crackers with a snack or tasty waffles. The terrace in front of the Stübchen invites you to linger. Martina also offers bread baking days at the museum at regular intervals. Here you can enjoy the wonderful taste of fresh sourdough bread and the famous Rhön onion loaf.
The impressive thing about these days is the way the bread is made and baked. This is baked in the old bakehouse from 1990. Experience the original baking method in the traditional belly house. Martina Seufert and her team will be delighted to welcome you to the farm store or snack bar. They are always open to questions and will be happy to help you.
