Visits to the ostrich farm are possible by appointment. The farm store is open on Fridays and Saturdays. In addition to a modern breeding and chick area, various breeding and rearing enclosures have been built on four hectares. Three breeding trios and around 50 small chicks from Rhineland-Palatinate, Bavaria and Thuringia moved into these in the course of 2014. Since then, our ostriches have made their home here on different pastures. They visibly feel at home in the Ilm Valley and are thriving.
