Glass Center Lauscha® - The new glassworks

Sand, soda, potash and lime

1000m² full of magnificent glass, spread over 3 houses, plus daily demonstrations in the open atmosphere of a large show workshop, as well as Tasty Thuringian cuisine in the in-house restaurant - you can look forward to an eventful day at the Lauscha Glass Center.

Despite the modern furnishings old, traditional craft techniques and tools that were used 400 years ago in Lauscha's oldest glassworks and earned the town a worldwide reputation in the production of art glass. The quality of the products made from sand, soda, potash, lime and lots of heat is therefore not surprising. Whether decorative baubles for the Christmas tree, the garden or the window, colorful vases or cute animal figurines - anyone with a heart for high-quality glass will find a real paradise here. The absolute classic is of course the beautiful Thuringian forest glasswhich, with its restrained shapes, striking air pockets and, of course, the wonderful forest green, has been inspiring people for generations.

An absolute recommendation for all those who want to hear and see where the heart of the Christmas Land on the Rennsteig® 360 days a year beats.

Closing days 2023:
