Blueprint workshop in the Dürerhaus
Blueprint workshop in the Dürerhaus
In the heart of Erfurt's old town, you can experience the hand-printed and woad-dyed blueprinting process for yourself.
Not only do people "make blue" together, but they also learn about history and humor and, of course, show blue printing in all its diversity: traditional with yard goods and table linen to modern, e.g. loop scarves. And only there you can buy blue print jewelry as a small souvenir from Erfurt.
The Dürerhaus - a traditional trading house - was once located in Neuwerkstraße. Even when it moved to Schlösserstraße, it lost none of its original charm, as the front shown here with its fine carvings remained part of the inventory. The Dürerhaus has now been owned by the Wezyk family for more than 10 years and is characterized by its long tradition of craftsmanship.
