The Körting ceramic workshop has been located in the stables building of the Dornburg castles for over 60 years. From mini-sculptures for the setting box, small sculptures with movable heads, weather-resistant garden ceramics, free-turned and built-up vessel ceramics to larger animal sculptures.

In 1949, the sculptors and ceramists who had previously worked in Berlin took over Heiner-Hans Körting and Gerda Körting the empty workshop. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of ceramics production in Dornburg, which continues to the present day. Lisa Körtingalso a ceramist and Heiner-Hans' second wife from 1955, made a significant contribution to the workshop's artistic profile and national recognition.
