The Loccum-Volkenroda pilgrimage route runs for around 300 km through the Weser Mountains, the Vogler and Solling mountains and the Eichsfeld region. It connects the Loccum monastery, near the lowlands of the Steinhuder Meer, with its mother monastery Volkenroda near Mühlhausen in Thuringia.
