Ibengarten
On the western slope of the Neuberg is one of the largest yew forests in Germany - the oldest yews have an age of over 800 years.
An adventure trail leads through this rare and primeval yew forest up to the cave of the "Rhönpaulus". This legendary robber still enjoys the reputation of being the "Robin Hood of the Rhön", as he never stole from the needy, but instead gave them some of his loot. On the adventure trail, visitors and hikers can discover impressive sculptures by Rhön wood sculptors as well as exciting information and experience elements.
