Red puddle
Red puddle
The Red Puddle is a body of water in the Klosterlausnitz Moor.
From the parking lot of the spa complex in Bad Klosterlausnitz, the area within walking distance is closely linked to the spa treatments in the Kurmittelhaus. The route of the moor railroad, which connected the cultivation area with the spa, can still be seen today. Peat extraction ended in 1972.
Due to its proximity to the spa town and its special character as a moor, the area is a destination for those seeking relaxation. In addition to signposted paths, information boards provide information on the special natural features of the area and its historical use.
