Waterfall Teufelsmühle Bischofsheim i.d.Rhön
Waterfall Teufelsmühle Bischofsheim i.d.Rhön
On the hiking trail from Bischofsheim to the Holzberghof (marked blue, open drop), about halfway along the trail, you will find the small, idyllic Waterfall devil mill.
As the legend goes, a shrewd man tricked the devil here in such a way that he was annoyed black and green. A descriptive information board on site tells the amusing story.
Tip: The Teufelsmühle waterfall can also be reached by taking the circular hiking trail No. 4 (natural history hiking trail) from the Holzberghof or Rothsee hiking parking lots, which vividly informs about the geology of the Rhön and integrates, among other things, the small visitor mine "Braunkohlestollen Einigkeit 1844" (total length of the circular trail 9.4 km, 285 meters of ascent, moderately difficult).
