Bilshausen is a municipality in the district of Göttingen in southern Lower Saxony and is part of the Eichsfeld cultural landscape. The small village lies on the northern edge of a basin landscape that is known as the Golden Mark is well known. Small elevations and hills as well as fertile lowlands dominate the landscape. The well-developed network of cycle paths is suitable for cycling tours with children.

From Bildhausen there is an approx. 15 km long tour to the Thiershausen ponds or to the approx. 12 km distant Lake Seeburg on. A rowing boat trip on the lake or a visit to the Natural swimming pool are the best way to get to know the "Eye of the Eichsfeld". There is also plenty of fun to be had with a mini golf course and an adventure playground.
