The Geraaue park area was completely redesigned in 2020/21 and turned into an attractive local recreation area in the north of Erfurt. As part of this process, the floodplain pond was created behind the elevation to the Street of Nations.

The spacious body of water offers a place of tranquillity in the middle of the residential areas and main roads in the north of the state capital. Here, residents and guests can relax in the lakeside café or on the numerous seating areas, stroll around the lake and the surrounding parks or spend time with their children in the nearby playgrounds.

Splashing around in the pond itself is not permitted, but the water treading pool right next to it invites you to cool off with its wonderfully fresh stream water.
