Together with the neighboring lakes Ebersee, kleiner Ringsee and Entenpfuhl, the large Ringsee forms a natural unit that is only accessible via hiking and cycling trails. The 31-hectare landscape lake is only separated from the Ebersee by an intermediate dam, at the narrowest point of which there is an overflow.
