The village, formed by the Lossa river, welcomes all visitors coming from Buttstädt with its 300-year-old church. To this day, Guthmannshausen is characterized by agriculture and the old farmsteads along the main road underline the former importance of this industry. Not far from the road is the unique "state elementary school in green Guthmannshausen". On the outskirts of the village there is a bowling alley with an adjacent sports field, a day care center and the community center. The latter is a meeting place, event venue and think tank for clubs.
