Dingsleben (440 m above sea level), a typical street village with 264 inhabitants, lies in a deep hollow cut in the Bernhard limestone plateau, at the foot of the Kleiner Gleichberg (641 m above sea level) and the Obendorf and Bernhard mountains. The Zeilbach (also known as Mühlbach) begins via the biotope-like spring path and flows into the Werra in Reurieth. Dingsleben can be reached via the district road from Themar to Zeilfeld and from there on to Hildburghausen or Römhild, as well as in the direction of Heldburger Unterland.
