Quirla is a district of the small town of Stadtroda in the Saale-Holzland district of Thuringia. The small village is conveniently located on the A4 highway between Stadtroda in the west and Hermsdorf in the east. Quirla's location makes it a good starting point for relaxing hikes in the charming mixed forest of the Zeitzgrund.

Cross Dornaer Straße, pass under the highway and follow the Nossengraben to the left until you reach Amselfall. The romantic little waterfall is a relaxing start to the hike. Following the Nossengraben or via Dorna and Bollberg, hikers soon come to the well-developed main hiking trail along the Zeitzbach stream, along which four mills are located. It is worth spending several days in the Zeitzgrund and visiting various highlights such as the Pitch furnace model, the Nature trail "Teacher Bocklisch Way", the monuments Large and Small Rabsburg or the Forest playground to visit. Also the Teufelstal, a small side valley of the Zeitzgrund between Bollberg and Schleifreisen, offers a wildly romantic photographic backdrop.
