Leutersdorf is a small municipality in the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen in Thuringia. It belongs to the Dolmar-Salzbrücke administrative community, which is based in Schwarza. Leutersdorf is located in the idyllic Werra Valley and has around 200 inhabitants. The history of the village dates back to the 11th century, when the Knights Templar built a fortified church, which can still be visited today. Leutersdorf is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours in the Thuringian Forest Nature Park and offers peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
