Jützenbach is a village in the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld. Since December 1, 2011, the formerly independent municipality has been part of the rural community of Sonnenstein.

Jützenbach, situated in an idyllic valley at the foot of a northern foothill of the Ohm Mountains, is surrounded by extensive forests and hills. The village name has its origins in the small river Jütze, which rises here and flows through the village. Due to the partially terraced slopes, it was not possible to convert the entire district, which is up to 383 m above sea level, into large agricultural areas.

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1124 and was one of the monastery villages of the Benedictine abbey Kloster Gerode. The last two abbots who worked at Gerode Abbey before it was dissolved came from Jützenbach. Part of the district was later ceded to Duderstadt, including the Paterhof in Fuhrbach, which formerly belonged to Gerode Abbey.

The townscape of Jützenbach is characterized by lovingly maintained house facades and well-preserved half-timbered houses. The wooded surroundings offer good hiking opportunities for nature lovers.
