The municipality Nesse-Apfelstädt is a rural municipality in the district of Gotha in Thuringia. The administrative seat is in Neudietendorf.

The municipality of Nesse-Apfelstädt is divided into the following six districts:

• Apfelstädt

• Gamstädt

• Ingersleben

• Kleinrettbach

• Kornhochheim

• Neudietendorf

The rural municipality of Nesse-Apfelstädt was created on December 1, 2009 through the merger of the municipalities of Apfelstädt, Gamstädt, Ingersleben and Neudietendorf. The municipality is named after the two rivers Nesse and Apfelstädt. Previously, the districts of the municipality were already united in the administrative community of Nesse-Apfelstädt-Gemeinden, which was dissolved at the same time as the municipality was created.
