The village of Limlingerode, a district of the municipality of Hohenstein, boasts numerous historic farmsteads and half-timbered houses. One of these is the former vicarage, where the author Sarah Kirsch was born and which has been home to a poetry and meeting place for several years, where literary events are regularly held. Limlingerode is also known for its Ländliche Kaffeestuben, which not only offers homemade cakes, but also overnight accommodation and a farm store with decorative and gift ideas.
