With its 2600 inhabitants, the municipality of Judenbach is located in the southern Thuringian Slate Mountains not far from the toy town of Sonneberg. Judenbach is now part of the municipality of Föritztal.

Coming from Sonneberg-Hüttensteinach, visitors are led through a glowing mixed forest up to the street village of Judenbach, which lies up to 600 m above sea level. Scenic beauty, tranquillity and pure nature make the heart of every hiker around Judenbach beat faster.

St. Mary's Church stands above the village and greets the Franconian countryside far and wide. A special feature of this Protestant church is the statue of Mary with the Christ Child in her arms.
