The over 1000-year-old Otto Dix city of Gera is the third largest city in Thuringia. It is nestled in a charming hilly landscape on the banks of the White Elster River. With its city forest, the Hofwiesenpark, the many parks and villa gardens, the former Reussian residence city has many green oases to offer.
