Mehna is located to the west of Altenburg in the Altenburger-Zeitzer-Lösshügelland region. Worth seeing here are the historic country inn, the village church and the former schoolhouse, which now houses the municipal administration.

Mehne is located around nine kilometers from Altenburg and is a member of the Rositz administrative community.
