Dachrieden
Dachrieden
The village first mentioned in 897 Dachrieden lies in the Unstrut-Hainich district on the Gotha-Leinefelde railroad line. The village is characterized by agriculture and fruit growing and has a long tradition as a mill site.
Due to the proximity of the Unstruttal village to the mountain range Dün, to the Eichsfeld and to the UNESCO Hainich National Park there are many recreational opportunities in nature. Both the Unstrut Cycle Route as well as the Pilgrimage route Loccum-Volkenroda lead through the place. The Volkenroda Monastery with the worth seeing Christus-Pavillon of the Expo2000 is about 13 km away from Dachrieden. The medieval imperial city Mulhouse invites you to explore its rich historical heritage and is easy to plan as a bike tour from Dachrieden.
