The wildly romantic waterfall - a natural monument - was created in 1865 against an imposing rocky backdrop. From April to October, part of the Truse water is diverted by a dam. The artificial waterfall trench meanders 3.5 km through the forest landscape at a gentle gradient. The water plunges 58 meters over three cascades into a collecting basin and then back into its original riverbed. Visitors can climb the 228 steps to the top of the waterfall and enjoy nature to the full on the idyllic circular waterfall trail. The reward is a magnificent view of the Truse valley.
