Möhra
Möhra
Möhra is a village in the south-west of the Thuringian Forest in the idyllic "Moorgrund" landscape. The place became famous through the great reformer Dr. Martin Luther, whose ancestors on his father's side were at home here. There is evidence of Martin Luther's stay here on May 3 and 4, 1521, where he preached on the village square (now Lutherplatz). A Luther memorial was inaugurated on this site in 1861.
