Eineborn
Eineborn
Eineborn is a community in the southeast of the Saale-Holzland district. First mentioned in documents at the end of the 13th century, Eineborn is a typical Taldorf the red sandstone plateau between the rivers Saale and Elster. The village structure lies elongated between gentle hills along the Tautendorf stream in a side valley of the Roda. In the village stands a neo-Gothic, evangelic Church, which was built in the 19th century. A small restaurant in the center of the village invites you to stay and enjoy the local cuisine.
The surroundings of Eineborn are well suited for cycling and hiking, e.g. to the wildly romantic Teufelstal, a small side valley of the Zeitzgrund between Bollberg and Grinding tours. In the approx. 8 km distant Renthendorf offers the small Museum Brehm's World as a goal. The exhibition in the Brehm family house is dedicated to the famous naturalists Christoph Ludwig Brehm (1787-1864) and Alfred Edmund Brehm (1829-1884).
