Mupperg in the Sonneberg lowlands is a district of the municipality of Föritztal in the Sonneberg district of Thuringia. The village was first mentioned in a document in 1114. Among the sights are the Renaissance castle, which is now used as a retirement home, and the Holy Spirit Church, which dominates the townscape.
