The village of Meschenbach, which belongs to the municipality of Frankenblick, is romantically nestled in a valley surrounded by densely forested mountains over 800 meters high on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest. The unique landscape between Coburg and the most famous hiking trail in Thuringia, the Rennsteig, is impressive from the very first hours. The settlement at Eschenbach is located on a road that leads south through the village to Döhlau and Bavaria. The "Zinselhöhle", the only natural stalactite cave in southern Thuringia, is also worth a visit in summer.
