Fockendorf lies to the north of Altenburg. The museum in the former paper mill is well worth a visit. Visitors can make their own paper here. There is also a historic hydroelectric power station that is still used to generate electricity today. Excursions are possible to the Pahna recreation park, which offers an attractive environment for around 500 permanent campers every year, and the Pahnaer Holz, which is ideal for long hikes.
