The village of Immenrode belongs to the town of Sondershausen and is located in an area that was once rich in windmills. There were three windmills in this small village alone. A tower windmill from 1859 remains and has been extensively reconstructed. The Mühlen- und Heimatverein Immenrode e.V. is committed to the restoration and revitalization of this historic tower windmill, which can be visited by appointment.
