The dark green seeds of the pumpkin are true nutrient powerhouses, as they are rich in zinc, magnesium, iron and selenium.
At Handmacher Johannes, the little wonder seeds are available untreated, roasted and candied. Thus, they can be used perfectly as a topping on the salad, to make spreads and dips, but also to nibble on the terrace with a good glass of wine.
The seeds from the Geiseltal are already used in the Sommerwerk bakery in Mücheln and will probably decorate one or two pumpkin seed rolls in the future.
Johannes and his family still have a lot of plans and are currently experimenting with soy, among other things, and are constantly trying out new pumpkin varieties to find just the right one for our climate in Saale-Unstrut.
