The former Meißnersmühle was first mentioned in 1388. It was located on the Schwemmnotte and was therefore one of the old town mills. Unfortunately, it fell victim to a town fire in 1689 and burned down completely. It was then rebuilt as a grist mill. It was shut down for a short time in 1885. Shortly afterwards, however, it continued to be used as a lime mill. The former building at Meißnersgasse 7 was demolished in 1989.
