Benediktsplatz is located behind Erfurt Town Hall at the western entrance to the Krämerbrücke. From here you can not only get onto, but also in front of and behind the Krämerbrücke. Benediktsplatz also connects the fish market, Wenigemarkt and Michaelisstraße.

As the location of Erfurt Tourist Information, it is often the first port of call and meeting point for visitors to the Thuringian capital.

The Thüringer Städtekette long-distance cycle route and the Gera cycle route also intersect at the central Benediktsplatz junction.
