Meuschkensmühle

The exact age of the mill is not known. It is said to have been acquired by Karl-Friedrich-August Meuschke in 1830. The mill is named after him. In the 1920s, a restaurant and guesthouse were established here. Around 1930, a pond not far from the Meuschkensmühle was operated as the "Meuschkensmühle outdoor pool" by the municipality of Weißenborn as a forest swimming pool (Meuschkensbad). At the end of the 1950s, Emil Bahr (better known by his stage name Milo Barus) took over the restaurant. It was later sold. It was no longer a public restaurant. The mill was closed in 2000. Today there is a guesthouse with a restaurant, vacation apartments and a riding stable.
