The Catholic church "St. Peter and Paul" is located in the village of Helmsdorf in the town of Dingelstädt in the Eichsfeld district. A parish church in Helmsdorf is already mentioned in a document from 1283. The current parish church "St. Peter and Paul" was built in 1708 and significantly rebuilt in 1933. Like many Eichsfeld village churches, it contains a baroque high altar, side altar and pulpit. The Gothic baptismal font from the 14th century is also particularly interesting. The stained glass windows in the extension are also worth seeing. They were made in the 1930s by a Coburg art glassworks.
